High-Density Perfusion HEK Cell Culture using the Mobius^® Breez Microbioreactor

Viral vector-based gene therapies are commonly manufactured using transfected cell lines such as HEK293. Scale-down experiments of these transfection processes would help reduce usage and cost of expensive reagents, but there are few options for scale down experiments that are representative of larger-scale bioreactors. We address this gap by demonstrating culture of suspension HEK293-F cells in both batch and perfusion modes using the 2 mL Mobius^® Breez microbioreactor platform.
